![]() ![]() ![]() While we wait for an official announcement from DC, let’s discuss how you all feel about losing Winick as writer of Batwing. He’s solicited to be writing the series through issue #14, but he apparently told Newsarama that next week’s issue #0 will be his last! ![]() As for Batwing, there is still no word on which writer will be taking Winick’s place or which issue he’ll be leaving on exactly. ![]() His run on Catwoman ended just last month and we’ll see the first issue with new writer Ann Nocenti in just a few weeks with issue #0. I’m pursing a few other projects that make it impossible for me continue doing a monthly book.Īnd with that Judd Winick goes from writing two bat-titles to zero. I will miss telling the tales of David Zavimbe, the Batman of Africa in many ways, but I’m proud of the work we’ve done. Exiles, Blood & Water, Shazam and Batman. Writer/artist Judd Winick has handled most every major character in the DC Universe including notable runs on GREEN LANTERN, GREEN ARROW, THE OUTSIDERS, JUSTICE LEAGUE: GENERATION LOST. I’ve had a terrific time on the title and have loved crafting this adventure with some phenomenal people. Artists Ben Oliver, Marcus To, and Brain Reber have made these stories come to life. But it seems that weeks previously, Judd Winick also walked off his final DC comic, Batwing. It’s with a heavy heart that I announce that I’ll be leaving the DC monthly Batwing. Newsarama talked with Judd Winick and learned that he will be exiting the Batwing title very soon: Judd Winick, Paul Lee (Illustrator) 3. So here’s some big news that I missed out on by being away for a week. ![]()
